For almost a year now I’ve been working on redoing this website. But today it was time for a break with a fishing trip to Don Pedro Reservoir. So, I grabbed both my fishing and camera gear, hooked up the boat, and left the house at first light. The bass weren’t very cooperative throughout the morning and into the afternoon — I picked up maybe three or four fish. Once the water warmed a degree or two, however, things changed, and the fishing got better (though not wide open by any means). Using Ned-rigs with Z-Man Hula StickZ in Drew’s Craw, targeting steep rocky banks on the main river, I managed another dozen bass. Mostly spots and nothing big. But still, lots of fun. I never pulled out my DSLR on this trip, but I did take a picture of myself with a couple of the bass.
